中文摘要 | PEN是具有優良物性的新聚酯材料,在產業上有廣泛的應用。本文概略介紹PEN的 製程,此製程是由酯交換段和聚合段所組成,其中有許多重要的工程問題。酯交換階段是一 個槽塔聯結的多相反應系統,必須兼顧化學組成的均勻性和副產物分離的效果,工程計算必 須同時運用熱力學和動力學的數據。聚合階段聚合物的熔融黏度通常已經相當高,要從高黏 度的材料中移出小分子物質必須要有良好的攪拌和特殊的反應器設計。批次製程中由於複雜 的流動型態和不良的輸送速率,對於設備性能和工程設計更需要一個簡易的評估方法,本文 把相關的工程問題提出來並說明分析的過程,同時也討論了工程計算的方法。 |
英文摘要 | Polyethylene naphthalate(PEN), a novel polyester with good physical properties, has diverse industrial applications. This article describes the synthesis process of PEN. The process comprises of transesterification and polycondensation. However, some interesting engineering problems occur in each stage. In the transesterification stage, there is a reactor-column coupled multi- phase reaction system. The engineering calculations simultaneously need thermodynamics and kinetics data to keep consistency in chemical composition and to achieve a certain separation efficiency for by-products removal. In the polycondensation stage, the viscosity of polymer melt is usually extremely high. The reactor requires a unique degian and must be in good agitation status for small molecular species devolatilization. In the batch process, an operational limit would be encountered owing to the complex flow pattern and poor transpor- tation rate. Therefore a simple method is proposed to evaluate the performance of equipment in process and validate the engineering design. These problems are addressed and an analysis procedure is presented. The method for performing engineering calculation is discussed as well. |
