英文摘要 | The objectives of this study were to determine chemical charateristics of cage-raised-duck wastewater and to develop its treatment scheme. The wastewater and its pollution load generated from washing cage-raised duck pens was estimated on a routine basis. Also, solid-liquid separating and gravity settling tests and batch-type and pilot-scale reactors were performed to determine their efficiencies in treating duck wastewater. The analytical items included COD, BOD, SS, TS, VS, TKN, and production rate and percentage of CH in biogas. The experimental results indicated that the washing water was 4.08 and 1.94 liter per duck per day for duck excreta not presecrapped and prescrapped from the floor, respectively. The concentratins of COD, BOD, and SS determined from fresh duck excreta were 104,012 ± 22,139, 35,391 ± 11,192, and 95,814 ± 10,982 mg/L respectively. When the wastewater generated from washing cage-raised ducks pens was analyzed, the concentrations of COD, BOD, SS, TS, and VS were 22,501 ± 11,904, 6,032 ± 3,017, 13,758 ± 7,273, 15,827 ± 6,568, and 5,249 ± 2,383 mg/L, respectively. The pollution loads of BOD and COD estimated were 8.8 and 26 gram per duck per day. The upward converying separator not only removed duck feathers nearly completely, but it also removed 40.74% of COD, 19.96% of BOD, and 25.79% of SS. The settling rate of duck excreta after solid-liquid separation was high, resulting in removing 69.77% of COD, 64.39% of BOD, and 94.34% of SS. To meet the 1998 Effluent Standard of duck wastewater, the following three-step treatment scheme and associated operational conditions are suggested, according to the experimental results. The wastewater is first pretreated by a olid-liquid separator and a primary clarifier, followed by an anaerobic sludge reactor operated under volumetric loadings and hydraulic retention time (HRT) of 1.5 g COD/L.d(1 g BOD/L.d) and 5 d, respectively (The COD/BOD removal efficiency should be maintained at greater than 70%) , Unneduately following that, an aerobic sludge reactor must be operated under volumetric loadings and HRT of 1 g COD/L.d (0.35 g BOD/L.d) and 1 d, respectively (The COD /BOD removal efficiency should be maintained at greater than 65%). |
