中文摘要 | 生物監測法是指測量生物受環境影響所產生之反應來評估環境品質,例如:生物的生理和生化反應、外部形態改變、生殖之影響、指標生物存在與否、族群的大小、群落組成及結構之改變、生態系統組成及功能變化等等。國外在應用分子、生理或生化反應為指標之研究相當多;臺灣目前利用生物監測法所進行之環境監測,則多以指標生物存在與否、族群結構及群落的組成之研究為主;至於測量生理、生化或形態的反應為生物指標之研究非常少,此與國外研究情形剛好相反。目前生物監測方法雖多應用在環境污染上,但非只侷限於此,其它像是利用於顯示土地利用變化、自然資源的品質、都市化的程度、氣侯變遷等等皆可,值得多加推廣。 |
英文摘要 | Biological monitoring is to measure the responses of organisms which are affected by environmental pollution and degradation as an indication for environmental qualities. The methods of biological monitoring include using several different levels of biological organization, such as physiological and biochemical endpoints, histologic and morphological changes, behavioral responses, reproduction, presence or absence of indicator species, composition and structure of the population and the community, and the structure and function of an ecosystem. In Taiwan, most of biological monitoring approaches are used either invertebrate to analyze pollutant concentration of the tissues or algae to analyze the composition and structure of community, and/or presence of indicator species to indicate environmental quality. In contract to international biological monitoring programs, there are very few research or programs used biochemical or physiological endpoints to monitor environment quality in Taiwan. Biological monitoring can be used not only to monitor environmental pollution, but also to indicate impacts of land use and urbanization, and quality of natural resources as well as the trend of global warming. Therefore, biological monitoring shall be used more frequently for environmental regulation and environmental management. |
