英文摘要 | Besides in plant recycling in China Steel Corporation. an amount of 420,000 tons iron-oxide sludge, generated and piled on sites for the past five years due to no allowance of landfill. was reused as a portion of raw materials in stead of imported iron slag in cement plants in Taiwan. A five engineers taskforce struggled and overcame many difficulties, especially the control of moisture and iron-oxide content, and the elimination of odor and miscellaneous wastes. Finally, not only was sludge waste minimized with copying to stringent environmental regulations but also some space was saved for China Steel Corporation Phase Ⅳ Expansion Project. In addition, a total cumulation of 13 million USD in cost saving was acchieved. This paper describes the background of the reuse project, the characteristics of iron-oxide sludges, the feasibility study and testing results, the problems and solutions, and the future prospects. |
