| 英文摘要 | Coke waste contains appreciable concentrations of pollutants such as phenols, cyanide, thiocyanate, sulfide and ammonia. Since these pollutants are toxic to aquatic system, the coke waste is ranking with refinery and pharmaceutic effluents as one of the most difficult wastewater to be treated. A variety of treatment processes have been considered to purify the coke wastewater, however, only the biological treatment has been shown to be satisfactory and economic. In the phase Ⅵ expansion project of China Steel, the on-site coke ovens will be supplying a new forth Blast Furnace, resulting in an elevated effluent flow from the ovens to the treament plant. The increase of wastewater flow will in turn raise the oxygen requirement of the biological system to a level, which cannot be sustained by the current surface aerators. Hence, a pure oxygen based aeration system has been retrolitted onto the existing effluent treatment plant. Results obtained from the performance test indicated that the new aeration system has exceeded its guaranteed operation with an average oxygen consumption of 1.12kgO��/kg BOD removal and a COD removal rate of 81.1%. |
