中文摘要 | 南海北部在新生代為被動大陸邊緣。在陸緣上用雙船地震、地熱流等地 球物理方法測量的結果發現,這裡的岩石圈是分層的,且各層的物理性質、 變形方式不同:上地殼表現為脆性,發生許多斷裂並產生許多斷決,斷決沿 斷層面轉動,使上地殼減薄,並在地表形成一系列地塹與半地塹;下地殼呈 塑性,沿水平方向發生塑性流動,使下地殼厚度變薄;岩石圈上地幔則表現 為脆性,但有一定的塑性,可發生斷裂,但也有輕微的塑性流動。由此作者 提出了岩石圈在張性應力場作用下的變形方式為分層變形,即分層變形模式。 我們的模式有別於Mckenzie的純剪切模式,也不同於Wernicke 的簡單剪切模 式。 |
英文摘要 | The characteristics of lithospheric deformation under the effect of an extensional stress field are investigated, based on two-ship seismic data collected through a joint Sino-US geological investigation project in the South China Sea. A deformation model of layered shear is put forward. In the upper crust the brittle deformation by which the normal faults are produced takes place. The upper part of the lower crust in the lower slope and lithospheric upper mantle are characterized by brittle deformation that produces faults too. In contrast, ductile deformation characterizes both the lower, high velocity component of the lower crust in the lower slope and the lower crust in continental shelf and upper slope as well as the deeper lithosphere that produces rheomorphism. Both models and domains of deformation give rise to the overall lithospheric thinning that produces gradbens and half-grabens at the surface; these in turn determine the locations of the sedimentary basins that have developed along the South China Sea margin. |
