英文摘要 | The jib is one of the important components of the crane. The formula calculations of the jib strength are based on the simplified truss model. The weight and wind load are applied on the mass center of the jib as effective forces, and the static formula is then used to calculate the stress distribution. The variations of the geometric parameters and load distribution along the jib are neglected. In this paper, the analysis model is based on the finite element method. This method can accommodate the geometric variations and load distribution of the jib. The stress analysis of the jib under the most adverse loadings of vertical, horizontal, and wind were performed by FEM. The stress distribution by FEM was compared with the formula calculation, and the result calculated by FEM is more practical. |
