中文摘要 | 在當前多元文化環境的衝擊以及全球經濟快速成長與競爭下,英語已經成為一項 不可或缺的溝通工具。成人英語學習者已感受到有必要學習會話溝通式英語以方便與全世 界的人溝通。近年來合作語言學習方式應用在溝通式語言學習環境中的優點已開始被注意 。 本研究的目的乃提出相關文獻,諸如老師與學生在合作學習教室的角色、合作學習與 英語教學的背景、使用合作語言學習方式的目的、益處、以及合作語言學習與電腦的應用 。同時為了支持並印證文獻探討的理論,本研究也提出有關對臺灣的成人英語教師所作的 使用合作語言學習方式教學的調查結果以供參考。 本研究意在讓英語教師了解學生可以透過合作語言學習方式而使學習英語變得有趣。 本研究亦建議合作語言學習方式應用在初級。中級或高級的成人英語學習班級上。 |
英文摘要 | In the current impact of multicultural environment and rapid worldwide economic growth and competition, the English language has become an indispensable and global communicative vehicle. Adult ESOL learners have experienced that they need to learn conyersational or communicative English in order to understand and communicate well with people throughout the world. In recent years, attention has been paid to possible advantages which collaborative language learning process may have in language learning contexts, and specifically for communicative language acquisition. The purpose of this study is to provide a review of related literature pertaining to the essential concept and background concerned with teacher's/ learner's role in collaborative learning (CL) classes, background of CL in ESOL (English for Speakers of Other Languages) classes, language learning through CL, purposes of using CL in ESOL classes, benefits of using CL in ESOL classes, CL application in ESOL classes, and CL in ESOL with computer-related technology. In addition, to support the contentions from the literature review, this study also provides the questionnaire findings of teachers perceptions of using collaborative language learning process in adult basic ESOL classes in Taiwan. This research intends to introduce an accessm to collaborative learning and to help ESOL teachers with great anticipation and excitement, knowing that the ESOL learners will have fun learning English as well as working with newly acquainted friends through collaborative landuage learning process. It is of opinion that collaborative language learning process is applicable to basic, intermediate or even higher level learners of English. |
