英文摘要 | Taiwan plum yew (Cephalotaxus wilsoniana), like Taiwan yew (Taxus sumatrana), is an endangered species scattered scarcely in natural hardwood and confer mixed forests in the middle elevation of Taiwan. This study focused on the adaptability of its seedlings under different light regimes to supply information for the silviculture and the conservation of the species. The experiment was conducted at Chitou nursery with four relative light intensities (6%, 28% 64% and 100% of the full sun light). The results suggested that both height and collar diameter of the seedlings differed significantly between the treatments, with growth under 28% and 64% of the full sunlight being the best. Similar results were also found with respect to the seedlings' total biomass and other morphological characteristics. The relationship between LAI and light intensities, and the dry matter allocation patterns of the seedlings all indicated that Taiwan plum yew is a species that may require proper shading during its seedling stage. |
