英文摘要 | This review focused on the blood supply of the optic nerve head (ONH). The main source of blood supply to the ONH is the posterior ciliary artery, with retinal circulation supplying only the surface nerve fiber layer. The ONH circulation has a sectoral distribution. Autoregulation is defined as the intrinsic ability of an organ to maintain its blood flow constant despite change in perfusion pressure. This can be achieved through humoral, metabolic, myogenic, and neurogenic mechanism. Many factors may affect the ONH circulation, such as defective autoregulation, hematologic abnormalities, systemic arterial hypertension or hypotension, and intraocular pressure. Various techniques exist for the measurement of ONH blood flow. No technique has reached the status of a standard and all have disadvantages. For better understanding and management of ONH ischemic disorders, it is necessary to have a clinical method for assessment of blood flow in the posterior ciliary artery. |
