中文摘要 | 陶瓷材料具有輕質生、高熔點、高硬度、絕緣性佳及耐蝕性優良等特性,使其可 應用於嚴苛環境下之幾件或工具如活塞引擎、燃氣輪機引擎之零件及切削刀具等。由於陶瓷 具有低熱傳導系數、高硬度、高熔點之特性,傳統的切削加工方法加工效率低,而非傳統加 工法中的放電加工係藉由火花放電所生的高密度能量來加工,不受材料的硬度、脆性等機械 性質的影響,因此放電加工未來將普遍的應用於加工導電陶瓷材料。 由於導電陶瓷具有低熱傳導係數和高硬度的特性, 放電加工時表面容易形成微裂痕 (Micro-crack),嚴重影響材料的強度及壽命。 本實驗在不同極性、電極材料、放電能量及 改變放電液條件下, 探計陶瓷的材料去除率、 表面粗度的改善, 並藉由電子掃描顯微鏡 (SEM) 觀察陶瓷加工表面之裂痕情形。 |
英文摘要 | Fine ceramics are relatively new materials having serveral characteris tics, such as low weight, high strength, high stiffness, high wear resistant, a nd its corrosion resistance at room and elevated temperatures。 Which make them attractive for applicartion under severe circumstances, such as bit, cylinder l iners and piston component。 Fine ceramics have low thermal conductivity, high melting point and high hardness properties。 therefore, it is difficult to manufacture ceramics by traditional machining methods。 In EDM process, there is an important advantage--the machining performance is not influenced by the prope rties of materials。 Therefore, EDM has become an important manufacturing proce ss for conductivity ceramics。 We realize that conductivity ceramics have low thermal conductivity property。To avoid possible failures arising from the surfacemicro-crack by EDM machining, t hey influence the material's strength and life seriously。 In this experiment, we change EDM machining conditions such as poles, electrode materials, pulse energy and also change the conditions of dielectric, in order to discuss the improvemen t of material remove rate, surface roughness and by means of the observation of the surface micro-crack by SEM。 |
