中文摘要 | 社會工作是一門兼具藝術和科學的服務專業以及科學領域,因此社會工作 的知識理論應能引導並建基於實務工作的內涵。研究不但是建立專業知識體系 的方法之一,也是社會工作專業講求服務績效的不二法門。探討研究與實務工作的交互影響關係,一直是社會工作專業,包括學術教育者和實務工作者所共 同專注的議題。一般而言,在所有的社會作專業教育課程內容中,學生對研究方法的學習 最感困擾,甚至在畢業後從事實際的服務工作也很少利用、參與研究。本文試 圖明述如何將社會工作研究方法的特質藉由設計、教學的過程中深植於學生的思考體系;同時培養學生具備適當的研究能力,使其能夠在未來將研究的概念 及技術融入實務工作當中,進而提昇社會工服務的品質和成效。 |
英文摘要 | Besides a profession, social work is also a discipline, featured with both art form and scientific thinking. Theoretical frameworks for social work not only can guide practice, but also should be grounded from practice. Knowledge-building requires accumulation of on-going research findings. For social work profession, conducting research is an important mechanism for accountability. Recently, the issue of integrating practice and research has gained much attention by educators and practitioners. Generally speaking, social work research method is the course that students dislike the most, even after their graduation, practitioners have shown a low degree of research utilization and participation. In this paper, attributes of social work research were presented, and were served as a framework in guiding course design and teaching. This paper argued that through the emphasis of integrating practice and research, students' capability in understanding and conducting practice-related research can be improved, any quality and effectiveness of practice will also be enhanced in the future. |
