英文摘要 | In some previous reports from our laboratory, some chemicals were reported with their pictures illustrated some structural characteristics. These chemicals included crystallized sucrose, citric acid, sodium molybdate, sodium phosphate dibasic, crystal violet powder, alum, Rochette salt, i.e., sodium potassium tartrate, sodium tungstate, iodine and potassium dirchromate. They are demonstrated under a light microscope, with low or high magnification, or both. In this report, the powder form of sucrose, thallium acetate, granular form of Borax, potassium phosphate monobasic and sodium iodide are illustrated in pictures under light microscope, either with low magnification (100 folds) or high magnification (400 folds), or both. The black and white film was used and was developed in an experienced photography store. In most instances, the translucency of the crystals were well demonstrated. Nevertheless, with high magnifications, only part of the crystal was shown, therefore sometimes only linear features could be identified. Such pictures do help us to have good understanding to these chemicals which we utilized in the laboratory from time to time. |
