英文摘要 | In this paper, some general models for analyzing the availability and the reliability of a system are proposed. For system availability, in addition to the concept of human errors, the "recovery efficiency transition probability" is introduced here to make the model more powerful in solving real world availability problems. Some examples are given to consider both the resultant cost and the availability of a system. The new model can be used to calculate the availability of a system under different policies and then perform some trade-off analyses for the availability and the corresponding costs to find the optimal solution. Then a continuous-time Markov Chain model is proposed to further calculate the reliability of a system. In comparison with the existing models, the proposed models are more powerful and have more diverse applications. |
