中文摘要 | 本研究之目的係給予倉鼠大蒜或洋蔥粉末以比較其對降血脂及抗氧化作用的影響。18隻雄性倉鼠,分為三組,給予15%黃豆油及0.1%膽固醇飼料,以不添加大蒜或洋蔥粉未為控制組,再分別添加3%的大蒜粉末(大蒜組)或洋蔥粉末(洋蔥組)。飼養六週後,分析其血漿、肝臟與糞便中脂質含量及體內的抗氧化狀況。實驗結果顯示,大蒜組及洋蔥組皆比控制組有顯著較低的血漿總膽固醇、極低密度脂蛋白-膽固醇(VLDL-C)、低密度脂蛋白-膽固醇(LDL-C)與三酸甘油酯,及較低的肝臟磷脂質與總膽固醇濃度;而有較高的血漿高密度脂蛋白-膽固醇(HDL-C)及較佳的總抗氧化狀態(TAS),但卻有顯著較低的血漿麩胱?□過氧化?(GSH-Px)、麩胺酸丙酮酸轉胺?(GPT)與過氧化物歧化?(SOD)活性,及顯著較低的肝臟脂質過氧化物指標TBARS值;另外,有顯著較多的糞便總膽酸及總中性類固醇的排泄量。添加大蒜或洋蔥有益於促進倉鼠的降血脂及抗氧化功效。 |
英文摘要 | The purpose of this study was to elucidate the effects of garlic or onion powder on lowering the plasma lipid level in and raising the status of hamsters. Eighteen mature male hamsters were divided into three groups: the control group was fed with 15% soybean oil and 0.1% cholesterol diet without garlic or onion in the diet; the garlic and onion group diets were supplemented with 3% garlic powder or onion powder, respectively. The hamsters were sacrificed after 6 weeks; the lipid profiles of plasma, livers and feces and the plasma antioxidative status were determined. The results indicated that both the garlic and onion groups showed significantly lower levels of plasma total cholesterol (TC), very low density lipoprotein-cholesterol (VLDL-C), low density lipoprotein-cholesterol (LDL-C), triglyceride, hepatic TC, and phospholipids as compared to the control group. In addition, the garlic and onion groups showed significantly lower activity of plasma glutathione peroxidase (GSH-Px), glutamicpyruvic transaminase (GPT), superoxide dismutase (SOD) and liver lipid peroxides (TBARS) Furthermore, both groups showed higher concentrations of plasma high density lipoprotein-cholesterol (HDL-C) and total antioxidant status (TAS). The garlic and onion groups not logical meaning unclear the secretion of total bile acids and neutral steroids. The addition of garlic or onion facilitated lowering plasma lipid concentrations and enhanced the antioxidant function. |
