英文摘要 | Various ensemble classes are available for music classes in primary schools, including from scales as small as chamber music, such as string quartet, woodwind ensemble, brass ensemble, to a scale as large as orchestra music. However, piano lessons have been traditionally done on a one-to-one basis, and practices in key-board instruments ensemble has been largely overlooked. In practice, a pedagogy that encompasses duet ensemble can not only help improving solo techniques, but also enhance the ability in comprehending music. In addition, ensemble practices also raise the quality of friendship between or among fellow students. This paper is written for the piano students at both beginning and intermediate levels, hence interpretation of music and keyboard touch are not covered here. The main contents of this paper are- 1. Introduction to duet ensemble in pedagogy: from concepts of Russian ensemble pedagogy to ensemble definitions in other teaching materials. 2. Practical considerations of piano duet ensemble: a. learning together b. aural training c. musical harmony d. pedal techniques e. hand-crossing technique |
