英文摘要 | When a transparent model of a hexagonal close-packed (HCP) lattice unit cell was made as a teaching aid, a dilemma was encountered immediately. It is discovered that the hexahedron could not cover the entire volume of the three whole atoms within it. This phenomenon is obviously different from the traditional concept, namely, that three atoms located within a unit cell exist as three individuals. This study is based on a geometric concept and takes advantage of drawing techniques and mathematical calculation methods. It is to analyzes how the three atoms are composed of six areas of volume. |
