中文摘要 | Improving waterlogging tolerance is rather important for the crops to acclimate the waterlogging stress environment.This study explored the possibility of improving waterlogging tolerance of corn(Zea mays L.),cv.TN1, seedlings by using hypoxia or abscisic acid (ABA)pretreatments,and to perceive the possible metabolic mechanisms involved.Corn seedling were preteated with the 10�笐弸 ABA solution or the waterlogging sparged with nitrogen gas(hypoxia)for one day and followed by one day of drainage.Seedlings were then imposed by 6-day waterlogging and 6-day draining treatments subsequently.The results indicated that the inhibition of total dry matter production of seedlings caused by the 6-day waterlogging stress was alleviated(around 10%) by the hypoxia pretrea- tment, but was worse by the ABA pretreatment.The results also revealed that the ethanol production was maintained at the same level as control during the 6-day waterlogging, though increased after one day of hypoxia pretreatment.Obviously, the lactate was increased immediately after one-day hypoxia pretreatment and was kept at a high level till the end of draining period.Such changes coincided with that of the lactate dehydrogenase (LDH) activity.It suggests that the hypoxia pretreatment might improve waterlogging tolerance during the waterlogging period through the inducton of active lactate fermentation. |
英文摘要 | 本試驗乃在探討利用二種不同前處理增加玉米幼苗之耐淹性,及其可能之耐淹機 制。試驗材料採用玉米臺農一號(TN1)進行砂耕栽培,於四葉期分別予以10�笐弸離層酸 (ABA)及充氣淹水(低氧)一天之二種前處理,俟排水一天後再進行淹水六天處理。於淹 水(低氧)一天之二種前處理,俟排水一天後再進行淹水六天處理。於淹水開始前2、1天及 開始後0、3、6、9、12天分別取樣分析。結果顯示低氧前處理可以減輕其後淹水六天期間乾 物質生產之抑制量達10%。然而以外加ABA前處理,則使淹水抑制幼苗生長更為嚴重。進一步 發現低氧前處理一天後,乙醇含量上升,但在其後六天淹水期間則降至與對照組相同。然而 在低氧前處理一天後,乳酸含量即快速增加,且維持較高含量直至排水。乳酸脫氫酵素活性 亦有類似變化。推測低氧前處理快速誘導乳酸發酵以增加其後淹水期間之耐淹性。 |
