英文摘要 | Visual thinking is an effective way for acquisition of knowledge. This article discusses how the advancement of computer technology makes it possible for educators to develop an effective visual learning environment for complex scientific knowledge acquisition. At the beginning of this article, the author takes a cognitive point of view discussing how visual thinking can help learners acquire scientific knowledge. Several computer-based learning environments are also described to illustrate how computers can be used for effective visual learning. Finally, principles for designing computer-based visual learning environments are discussed. |
