中文摘要 | 本研究為準實驗設計,旨在探討錄影媒體輔助英語教學對國中學生英語口語學習 的效果,期藉此研究發現,提供國中英語教學參考,俾提高教學之效果,並增益學習的效率 。研究對象係高雄市光華國中 160 位國二學生。 實驗組接受錄影媒體輔助教學。控制組接 受傳統錄音媒體輔助教學。統計方法採共變數分析。測量工具為描述圖片口試。主要發現: 整體而言,在提昇國中學生口語能力方面,錄影媒體比錄音媒體教學效果較好。最後,本研 究建議傳統教材及教法應有所改變以提昇教學效益,同時提出應用錄影媒體於國中英語教學 含意之探討。 |
英文摘要 | This was a quasi-experimental study to invesstigate whether junior high school students who studied English with the help of video media would imporve their speaking performance significantly more than those who were taught using only conventional audio media. One hundred and sixty eighth-graders of Kuang Hua Junior High School in Kaohsiung City served as subjects. ANCOVA analysis was used to test the differences in means of performance between the video group and the audio group. To measure their performance, pre- and post- picture description tests were employed. The results showed that significant difference was obtained between the video and audio groups on the picture description oral test. The video group scored significantly higher than the audio group on the oral test. To help junior high school students improve their oral skills, video media are more helpful than traditional audio media. Finally, the study suggests that conventional instructional materials and methodology be changed for better teaching effects. Theoretical and pedagogical implications for the application of video media in an EFL classroom were proposed. |
