英文摘要 | Taiwan is situated favorably at the location for ocean thermal energy conversion (OTEC) development. The difference in seawater temperature between surface and deep ocean around Taiwan is reported to be greater than 20° fo the whole year. Currently, the keydesign problem is in the deep ocean water pipe using in OTEC plant. This report is to evaluate steel, PE, FRP and concrete used for the potential candidate of large size deep ocean pipe. The selection of cold water pipe. The selection of cold water pipe is based on the corrosion resistance, impact resistance, economy, and construction risk. |
