英文摘要 | The purpose of this study is to generate the design spectra for lead rubber bearing (LBR) isolated bridges by using the Elghadamsi Mohraz's yielding displacement response spectra method. The isolated bridges are first modelled as single-degree-of-freedom (SODF) systems, neglecting the flexibility of the bridge columns. A further study is then extended to consider the effect of the column flexibility on the design spectra. In this part of study, the bridges are modelled as two-degree-of-freedom (2DOF) systems. The design spectra are generated and compared for both SDOF and 2DOF systems. It is found that the column flexibility effect is not obvious for general bridges (f=.25 ∼ 2.5 cps) but more pronounced for low frequency (f<.25 cps) and high frequency (f>2.5 cps) bridges. |
