中文摘要 | 近代由於資訊社會的形成,資訊科學的興起與資訊科技的革命,對圖書館與其教 育事業帶來莫大的衝擊。臺灣地區圖書館學系所正面臨了學科定義、系所名稱改變與課程 重新規劃的嚴峻挑戰。英美圖書館與資訊科學教育事業發展蓬勃,其課程的規劃與設計有 許多值得參考借鏡之處,是以本論文旨在探討英美圖書館與資訊科學課程。首先概介兩國 圖書館與資訊科學教育系統與圖書館與資訊科學教育的變革,其次探研美國與英國圖書館 與資訊科學課程,分別就課程標準、學程範圍、課程結構、與課程內容依次論析。 |
英文摘要 | During the decades of the 1980s and 1990s, library and information science education has undergone dramatic changes. Schools of library and information science have begun to feel the full force of the complexities of the information age. The revolutions of new technologies and information are having major impact upon the schools' curricula and the way the field is being defined. The nature of education programs of study has shifted from a focus on traditional librarianship to one that includes a wider range of information orientatins. The article mainly discusses curricula planning of library and information science in the United Kingdom and the United states. Firstly, it presents an introduction of education systems in the U.K. and the U.S.. Secondly, it analyzes the changes occurring among the library and information science education in both countries. Finally, it respectively explores curriculum standards, education programs, objectives of curricula, structure of curricula, and coureses in the U.K. and the U.S. |
