英文摘要 | A process capability index is a function of the parameters of the distribution and specifications of a quality variable. It is used to determine whether a production is capable of producing items within a specified tolerance. Most people simply look at the value of the index calculated from the given sample and then make a conclusion on whether the given process is capable or not. That is not very scientific approach. So, Montgomery [1985] and Chou et al [1990] propose the recommended minimum value for C �d and C ��, respectively. But, the recommended minimum value (RMV) of C �� have not been considered. Therefore, in this paper, we shall derive the recommended minimum value of C �� and use it to judge whether the process is capable. Hence, author apply the recommended minimum value to propose a testing steps for testing whether or not the process is capable, and it allows for testing at arbitrary confidence level and sample size without any tables or figures. |
