所分離到之黴漿茵為M﹒pullorum而所分離到 的7株沙氏桿菌為S. welteveden(2株)、S. london(1株)、S. agona(2株)、S. infantis(1株)及S. azteca(一株)。 |
英文摘要 | Isolation of avian mycoplasmas and Salmonella spp. was done in 22 batches of 2983 sparrows flying around the chicken houses in south of Taiwan in order to clarify their susceptibility and carrier status of the afore-mentioned diseases. The serological tests by serum-plate agglutination (SPA) for Mycolasma gallisepticum (MG), M. synoviae (MS) and Salmonella pullorum (PD) and hemagglutination-inhibition (HI) tests for Newcastle disease (ND) and egg-drop syndrome (EDS) were also done. Only one (0.034%) sparrow was found to be positive in avian mycoplasma isolation and 7 (0.62%) sparrows were positive in Salmonellas isolation. The mycoplasma isolate is M. pullorum. The 7 isolates of Salmonella are S. weltevreden (2), S. agona (2), S. London (1), S. infantis (1) and S. azteca (1). Among them, S. azteca is the first isolation in Taiwan. BY HI test for antbodies, 5.3% (6.4/1,175) of sparrows were positive for ND but all were negative for EDS. Only 5.8% (80/1,371), 2.2% (30/1,371) and 11.6% (121/1,044) of the birds were found positive for MG, MS and PD by SPA test respectively. Sparrows might play some role in the transmission of MG, MS and PD, despite that they are not a highly susceptible to the pathogens. Sparrows are susceptibe to ND virus infection but seem to be resistant to EDS virus infection. |
