英文摘要 | Transient rates of mass and energy transfer between two unidirectional solitons are evaluated throughout their overtaking interaction. Based on the KdV model and Hirota's [1] solution for two solitons of arbitrary amplitude ratio, the transient rates are determined with respect to the center-of-mass plane serving as the division plane across which the mass and energy are transported in both directions. The mass transfer velocity at the centerplane is evaluated to a high degree of accuracy which is required to yield agreement with the asymtotic mass interchange exactly. |
