中文摘要 | 為瞭解新發芽之茄苳幼苗族群動態變化及其與環境因子的關係,本研究以24週時間在林試所�甯K分所龜仔角試驗地調查30個(30公分X30公分 )小區的幼苗存活率,其中16個小區並做光量變化測定,14個小區做土壤水勢變化的測定。調查開始時幼苗共有2090株,至第12週有9個小區幼苗全部死亡,總株數降至135株(成活率6.5%),至第24週只剩7小區有幼苗存活,僅26株,成活率低至1.2%。由相關性分析得知,幼苗存活率與樣區照射到的光量程度有顯著正相關,而與樣區原有幼苗密度呈顯著負相關,但與表土土壤水勢不呈顯著相關性。茄苳種子可在林冠覆蓋良好但土壤有干擾之森林下發芽,但幼苗之成活及生長需要有足夠的光量,其適宜之環條件仍待進一步觀察試驗。 |
英文摘要 | Thirty 30 cm x 30 cm sampling plots were established in the Experimental Site of the Hengchun Branch, Taiwan Forestry Research Institute, to investigate the population dynamics of young seedlings of Bischofia javanica Blume for 24 weeks. Seedling mortality was studied among the 30 plots. The influence of various light intensities on mortality was studied in 16 piots, and variation in soil water potential was tested in 14 plots. In the beginning of the experiment, there were a total of 2090 seedlings. By the 12th week, only 135 seedlings survived, and by the 24th week, only 26 seedlings survived. That is, the survival ratio rapidly declined to 6.5% by 12 weeks, and 1.2% by 24 weeks. Statistical analysis indicated that the seedling survival ratio was positively correlated with light intensity and negatively correlated with initial seedling density. There was no significant correlation betwiin seedling survival ratio and water potential of surface soil. Thus, although seeds of Bischofia javanica Blume are able to geminate on disturbed soils under the forest canopy, seedlings need high levels of light intesity to survive and grow. Further investigations are required to determine their most suitable environment. |
