中文摘要 | 經歷了「古典」、「現代」、乃迄於「後現代」的幾個階段,「西方」建築論述 的發展,已從對「形式」、與「機能」的依賴,轉變到了對空間「意義」瞭解的重視。經過 了七0年代以降現象學、乃至於政治經濟學等之洗禮,建築論述在超越實證主義的限制之餘 ,已開始意識到「重新回到人與空間對話之過程」、以掌握意義命題的重要性,設計中意義 命題的出現因而成了無法再視而不見之事! 「兒時記憶空間」作為一個空間設計基礎認知的演練,即是吾人在設計教學上對上述新取向 的一種反應與嚐試,希望能為傳統因循的設計教學提供一可能突破的途徑。本文除了概述整 體意義命題出現之過程外,主要目的即在(一)說明為什麼會以「兒時」「記憶」空間作為 題目的原因;(二)就學生在課堂上的演練狀況作一描述、分析與檢討;(三)指出課程演 練對思考與操作空間設計幫助,並從而重新對空間與設計之意義作一反省。 |
英文摘要 | Getting through the stages of so called "Classical", "Modern", and even "Post Modern" step by step, the development of "Western-Architecture' discourse has shifted its approach from the "formalism' and "functionalism" to the investigation and understanding of "meaning" in space. Being influenced by phenomenology, and even political economics etc., architectural discourses, beside being freed from the epistemological obstacles of Positivism, have begun to emphasize what Heidegger had called the spatiality of Being-in-the-world, in order to handle the aspect of meaning in space. What we could not ignore any more is the importance of the meaning-aspect of design! As an operational practice to cultivate students properly spatial cognition and theoritical-thinking ability to designing, the teaching program "Memory of Child-hood Place" is just an attempt to respond to what we have mentioned above. By this attempts, we hope we chould find some new alternatives to replace traditional design teachings. Beside describing briefly the emerging process of meaning issues in architectural design, this paper will (1) disclose the reason why we adopt this kind of program; (2) describe, analyze and reflect students' practicing situations at studic; and (3) point out the adventages that this kind of program-practicing aids to rethink and manipulate design of space, hence we could reflect on the very meaning of space and design altergether. |
