中文摘要 | 「坎陷說」為由內聖出外王之重要理論,是良知學與科學結合之橋樑;但如此結 合並非惟一之途,且如此立論有其不圓到處,故有深入探討之必要。 首言近儒對良知與知識、道德與科學如何關連之問題所提出之各種立論,其中以牟宗三之坎 陷說最稱詳備。 次言坎陷說之立論根據,亦即說明無限心與有限心之意含:以及坎陷說理論之發展歷程:先 是肯定科學之價值, 再言科學活動必賴有限心之認知活動,因此良知必須坎陷為有限心 -- 良知成就行為宇宙,認知心造就知識宇宙,二者缺一不可;附帶討論坎陷後之心,當定位為 無限心或有限心。 再次則探討「坎陷說」之理論困難,說明其義理之不圓,有背中國傳統「人皆可成聖」之古 義,易使人對科學活動望而生畏,且如此立論無法完全契合地詮釋心學家之說。 最後提出對坎陷說義理之補充,以說明坎陷說只是良知與知識結合之一途,此外,尚可將認 知活動上提於無限心,使知體明覺貫穿於一切行為,則不用透過坎陷為了別心再去知物宰物 ,而後者似較近於孔孟陸王之心學主張,庶幾如此補充,能使中國義理精神完璧以存。 |
英文摘要 | The contemperoary Confucianism, has established various discourses about the inter-relationship of ethics and science, conscience and knowledge. The Kan Tsien's (Falling into) idea, which was declared by Mo Tsung Sun (1909-1995), seems to be the most outstanding dicourse among them. The Kan Tsien, with respecting to the value of science, shows that the science world is activated by cognition, the ethical world is succeeded by conscience, which we can deny neither of their functions, both baring somewhat supplementary relationship. The Kan Tsien, claims that conscience is mindlessness (i.e. the absolute spirit) and infinity, knowledge is mindness and finited; The 'mindlessness', falls into the 'mindness' horizon, outbursts the great concern on knowledge, hence guiding the establishment of the science world. The researcher finds that the Mo's discourse seems to be 'a' way, actually not the only way, to clarify the relationship between ethics and science. The Kan Tsien, shows its insufficiency to fulfil the ultimate concern of the traditional Confucianism. The researhcer, tries to elaborate a supplementary pathway to reach its ultimate concern, that is, the sublimation of cogaitional activities to the conscience stratuar; henceforht, every behaved activities had gone under our clearance conscience. The Kan Tsien and the Sublimatior, are both supplementary pathway to the ultimate realm through our embodiment flesh. |
