英文摘要 | The purpose of this experiment is to study the effects of diets of different protein levels and energy levels on the reproductive performance of native country hens. A 3×2 factorial arrangement was used with three protein levels (14.5%, 16.0%, and 17.5%) and two ME levels (2700, 2900 kcal/kg). Two hundred sixteen female Taiwan country chickens of 34 and 57 weeks old were used. Hens of each group were allocated into three replicates with 12 in each treatment group. Water and feed were supplied ad libitum, and photoperiod was provided 15.5 hours per day. The experimental period was five weeks from 34 to 38,and 57 to 61 weeks of age. The results indicated that the egg production, egg weight, yolk ratio, body weight change, fertility, hatchability, feed conversion, and hatched live chick weight were not influenced by dietary protein and energy levels. The dietary protein levels didn’t affect feed consumption, but the dietary energy levels significantly (P<0.05) affect feed consumption. The hens fed with 2900 kcal/kg metabolizable energy diet had significant (P<0.05) less feed consumption than that of 2700 kcal metabolizable energy group during 57 to 61 weeks of age. The dietary energy levels didn't affect the egg shell quality, but he dietary protein levels significantly (P<0.05) affect the egg shell quality. The hens fed with 16.0% protein diet had significant (P<0.05) heavier egg specific gravity, and better egg breaking strength than that of 14.5% protein group during 57 to 61 weeks old . No significantly (P<0.05) interaction was found between dietary protein and energy levels. The results indicated that the diet containing 14.5% protein and 2700 kcal/kg metabolizable energy was sufficient to maintain normal reproductive performance of hens through 34 to 61 weeks of age. |
