英文摘要 | Numerical studies are performed to investigate the phenomena of natural and mixed convective heat transfer in a rectangular closure and a horizontal channel with a heating-block located at various elevations. SIMPLE-C algorithm and power-law scheme are applied for solving the velocity and the temperature governing equations. The purpose of this study is to analyze the effects of Rayleigh nuber, Reynolds number, and the heating-block elevations, on the flow field, the temperature field, as well as the natural and mixed convective heat transfer rates. The results show that the heat transfer coefficent is improved as the heating block located at an adequate elevation for both natural and mixed convection. In addition to that, in the natural convection case, the number of vortex is strongly affected by the Rayleigh number and the heating-block elevation. |
