中文摘要 | 本研究使用中性紅活性染料作為指示劑,探討氯化汞對水蛤Meretrix lusoria 濾食率 的毒性影響。實驗結果顯示,文蛤在汞溶液中(水溫21.5-24.5°C,鹽度20ppt),其濾食率隨著 水中汞濃度與暴露時間的增加而下降。對照組文蛤的濾常率為1.75 ml/min/clam,在200μg/1 Hg汞濃度組降為0.5 ml/min/clam。文蛤濾食率在2.5小時下降為對照組50%的汞作用濃度 (median effective concentration),即2.5-h EC50及其95%信賴區間,分別為39及30-50Μg/1Hg。 文蛤暴露於不致死濃度(sublethal concentration)的汞溶液中,然然定時取樣放入乾淨的過 濾海水中測定濾食率。結果發現在低濃度汞的情形下(10μg/1Hg),文蛤的濾食率於第6天之 後有回升的情形,這可能與氯化汞的揮發、鰓的防衛能力及金屬蛋白的合成有關,但是到了 實驗結束時(第12天),濾食率仍然低於第3天。第3天與第12天使濾使率降為照組50%的 汞作用濃度(3d EC50與12-d EC50)及其95%信賴區間,分別為69(43-110)和10(6-19) μg/1Hg。 |
英文摘要 | It was the purpose of the study to measure filtration rate of hard clam, Meretrix lusoria, in sub-lethal concentration of mercuric chloride at 21~24°C and 20 ppt salinity. Filtration rates of clam were measured using a modification of the neutral red method. The effects of exposure to mercury treatments on the filtration rates showed a marked reduction when compared to the controls. The 2.5-hr EC50 (the concentration which cause a 50% reduction if filtration rate)and their 95% confidence limits for acute exposured clams were 39 and 30-50 μg/1Hg , respectively. During chronic mercury exposured, the filtration rate was always less than the control. A gradual increase filtration rate of the hard clam exposued to low concentration (10μg/1Hg) after 6 days, but the activity was still less than the 3rd day. This indicates the efforts taken by these clams for their survival in a less toxic environment. The loss of mercury, fortification of gill epithelium and synthesis of metal-binding proteins are some of the possible reasons for their melabolic recovery. The 12-d EC50 and their 95% confidence limits were 10 and 6~19 μg/1Hg, respectively. |
