英文摘要 | The halide glasses based on ZrF�� or/and HfF�� heavy metals exhibit high transparency over the frequency range from the near UV to the mid IR. This makes them the promising infrared transmittingmaterials. In order to understand their infrared properties, the temperature and frequency dependencemeasurement of multiphonon edge absorption in 2 multicomponent halide glasses were performed. The results show the IR edge is featureless with weak structure, and the multiphonon absorption coefficients decrease exponentially with increasing frequency. The results will be discussed in terms of intrinsicmultiphonon absorption theory. |
