中文摘要 | 目前光通訊不僅已成功取代傳統通信系統,門且技術亦已瑧成熟。目前用測對於通信 服務項目與品質要求與日俱增,光纖通信於中繼網路上使用的優點亦將擴展到區域用戶網路。 目前亡界各國皆積極發展用戶網路光纖通信,然而,由於網路架構不同,用戶光纜除了長度減 短外,光纜芯數大為提高為主要不同的地方。內目前已有多家光纖製造廠產製光纖芯數高達600 芯以上之用戶光纜。由於光纜芯數大量增加熱必造成光纜測試嚴重耗時的問題。為了減少測試 所需時間,我們發展出高芯數光纜自動測試系統。本文中首先對於目前光纜驗收測試方法加以 簡單說明,然後針對高芯數光纜自動測試系統詳細描述。高芯數光纜自動測試系統主要包括光 功率計(Power Meter)、高穩定度光源(High Stability Light source)、光纖切換器(Optical Fiber Switch)、光纖數據機(Optical fiber Data Link/Modem)以及系統控制器。經由與手動測試方法比較 顯示,高芯數光纜自動測試系統具有縮短測試時間、自動光纖掃描、自動測試數據處理、以及 較客觀之測試結果等優點。 |
英文摘要 | The last decade has witnessed the successful replacement of copper cable by optical fiber cable in long haul networks. Recently, with significant adavantages over copper wire and mature technology from long haul system, transmission over optical fibers is quickly extended to subscriber loops. However, the network architectures of subscriber loops are quite different, the required fiber count is quite large; and at present optical fiber cable which contains 600 fibers has been introduced. Duing to the high fiber count, manually operated lest method seems rather time comsuming. To decrease the testing time and the operating costs, a automated test system has been developed. Following a brief description of the acceptance measurements conducted on already installed optical fiber cables, the method of computerized tests using PCs and optical fiber switch is described in detail. Compared to manually operated test method, the automated system offers a number of specific advantages such as short testing time, automatic fiber scanning, automatic data processing and more objective test results with little human intervention. |
