英文摘要 | The single-mode fiber at 1.3μm wavelength region stands the best zero dispersion characteristic, but it is at 1.55μm wavelength region that the single-mode fiber may hold even lower loss than that of 1.33μm. By means of decreasing the fiber core radius or changing the core refractive index profile, the zero dispersion shift to 1.55μm dispersion-shifted fiber from that of 1.3 μm. It will have excellent transmission characteristic (loss and dispersion). This paper presents the transmission of the fiber and temperature dependence of zero dispersion wavelength in single-mode fiber to study 1.55μm wavelength dispersion-shifted fiber. It also presents the transmission characteristics of 1.55μm wavelength dispersion-shifted fiber and the test results. |
