中文摘要 | 臺灣地區共計有六所大專院校招收物理治療系組的學生,均在大四安排 四十二週的臨床實習,八十二學年度有三校為三十二學分,有三校為三十學分。 有四所學校在大三安排學生於特定時間(每週二至三小時)實(見)習。八十二學年 度約定為大四學生實習的場所有十八所,計含五所大學附屬醫院,五所公立醫院 與八所私立醫院。以性質來分,除一所為復健醫院外,其餘均為綜合醫院。實習 單位從事物理治療臨床教育的平均年數為4.5年,每個實習單位都有骨科與神經 科病人供學生實習,在十四所醫院學生可實習到小兒疾患之物理治療,在七所醫 院學生可實習到心肺疾患之物理治療,有十二所實習單位安排有急性物理治療之 實習。學校選擇實習場所除視醫療處所的一般醫療水準與規模外,最常被考慮的 因素為實習單位臨床老師的人數、經驗與教學熱忱。八十二學年度物理治療臨床 老師為一百三十位,其個人平均臨床經驗為4.5年,平均數學經驗為3.5年。學生 實習表現的評估完全由實習單位執行,有六個實習單位有期中評估,有12個實習 單位在期末除由臨床老師討論評分外,還給予學生其他方式的評估與回饋,諸如 筆試、口試、操作考試,以及書面及口頭的回饋。綜觀大專以上物理治療臨床教 育的沿革,有增加大三實(見)習時間與學分,減少大四實習週數與學分數的趨 勢,現仍存有實習場所漸趨飽和欠缺有經驗之臨床老師與評估工具的問題。(中 華物療誌1994:19(2)172-181) |
英文摘要 | This study examined current status andtrends of Physical Therapy clinical education inTaiwan, the Republic of China. Six baccalaure-ate level Physical Therapy education programswere surveyed in Spring 1994. Four out of sixPhysical Therapy programs scheduled part-timeclinical experiences for junior students. A totalof eighteen clinical education centers were af-filiated with six Physical Therapy educationprograms to provide clinical experiences for 206senior students during the school year 1993-1994. All senior students had to complete a 42-week full-time clinical education program priorto graduation. The affiliated clinical educationcenters included seventeen general hospitals andone rehabilitation hospital. Senior students hadexposures in the areas of orthopedic and neuro-logical physical therapy at each clinical educa-tion center. Fewer clinical education centersprovided pediatric or cardiopulmonary experi-ences. The total number of clinical instructorsinvolved in teaching these senior students was130, with the mean clinical experience of 4.5 years and the mean clinical teaching experiences of 3.5 years. Clinical instructors wereresponsible for evaluating the students' clinicalperformance and their reports were used todetermine students' grades. None of the on-sitevisits conducted by the academic faculty members influence students' grades. The number ofclinical site visits ranged from zero to two timesfor each site during the school year 1993-1994.Only one third of the clinical education centershad interim or mid-term evaluation. Variousmethods were used to evaluate students' clinicalperformance. Clinical education programs wereshifted toward a decrease in full-time clinicalexperience in the senior year and an increase ofpart-time clinical experience in the junior yearrecently. Lack of experienced clinical instructors remained as one of the crucial problems inPhysical Therapy clinical education in Taiwan.Reliable, valid, and feasible evaluation toolswere needed for Physical Therapy educationprograms.
