英文摘要 | This paper is an excerpt of research report associated with thefoundation treatment of Wushantou and Hsikou hydropower projects. Themicrostructures of main clay minerals in mudstone and their swellingbehaviour were introduced. The content also covered the influences ofchemical along with physical characteristics of mudstone on the soilproperties as well as slope stability. Additionally, a number of conceptsand treatments relating to the amelioration of swelling-slackingshortcoming of mudstone as contacted with water were indicated. Finally,some proposed measures were presented to solve the geotechnicalengineeirng problems encountered in the construction of Wushantou andHsikou hydropower plants which are located in mudstone area ofsouthwestern Taiwan. |
