中文摘要 | 臺灣的高等教育多年來受到的批評不少,其中最為嚴厲的批評當是其已失去培養 博聞好學的知識份子的理想與功能。而在眾多的教育學者眼中,通識教育的擘劃與實施是挽 回社會大眾對大學教育信心的重要途徑。本研究的目的即在透過針對逢甲大學學生的問卷調 查,瞭解學生對通識課程的態度與需求,而做為各大學改進通識教育的參考,因而提昇高等 教育的品質。 本研究的結果顯示雖然只有約三分之一的學生自認瞭解通識教育的內涵與目的,但絕大多數 的學生均認為通識教育在大學教育中占有重要的地位。此外,也認為通識課程會增進個人的 人文素養及宏觀思想。而更多的學生對教育學程的施行抱有強烈的期待。至於選課心態上, 社會科學較受學生的歡迎;而多數的學生是以個人的興趣做為選課的依據。 |
英文摘要 | Despite the fact that many efforts have been dedicated to revolutionize the current education practice in Taiwan, the general education is still facing many problems that need to be overcome. The purpose of this study is to examine the student attitude toward general education courese which the students were taking. A questionaire was administered to 7528 subejcts. The results show that there is a widespread recognition of the importance of general education. However, there is only one-third students understand the meaning and goal of general education. among the three cartegories of general education courses offered by Feng Chia university, students strongly favor social sciences. More than half of the students expect to get in teacher training program. |
