英文摘要 | To solve the labor shortage and to improve working environment, automation of rice postharvest system, including weighing, drying, handling, storage, aeration, husking, polishing and packing, has been promoted since 1990 under Taiwan government policy. Among 1990 and 1993, three systems were set up at farmer's associations of Hsin-Ying, Ta-Chia and Hou-Long. Starting from July 1993, the research and extension project has covered 5 extra farmer's associations. Monitoring devices were applied to sense the handling processes by connecting them with a PLC and with a personal computer for controlling. Hsin-Ying farmer's association is a typical example for explaining the future rice processing center in Taiwan. For communicating and training with related people, a simulation and training system was set up at Department of Agricultural Machinery Engineering, National Taiwan University. This system has provided for training, testing sensors, and reducing the test time and procedure of installing an automatic rice postharvesting system. |
