中文摘要 | 本次調查的動機與目的在於瞭解本校大一學生學習英文之態度如何,裨 供日後作為英文教學改進之參考。首先從學習態度之理論基礎著手,以為計劃調 查之依據。尤其是問卷的草擬要點與措詞,需要諸多有關態度之要素的構想,與 有關之調查研究的參考,才能編製成一份有效的工具,也期能達到調查目標;即 本校大一學生英文的學習態度及英文學習成就之相關,以作為今後改進教材教法 等的基礎。調查樣本為輔導系一班31人、化學系一班36人、工教系一班33人,與 商教系一班33人。調查結果包含全部樣本133人的態度分數,聯招生及自招生的 態度差異,以及態度與英文成績之相關。所得結果如下: 一、全部樣本的學習英文態度分數:R=26,X=34.398,SD=4.767。 二、自招生在英文學習態度上,高於聯招生,但其差異微小;自招生的X=35.065, 聯招生的X:=33.746,相差1.319,df=131,P<.001。 三、輔導、化學、與商教三系合計100人的態度分數與八十學年度第一學期期考 英文成績之相關:r=.397,df=98,P<.001,(CL=.397±.165=.232-.562)約有.4的可靠 相關。其他相關分析,詳見附註三各項統計圖表。 調查結果說明本校大一各系學生英文學習態度差異不大,與英文學習成績有可靠 約正相關,因此,本次調查計對培養學生英文學習態度的重要性,提出了比較具 體的參考資料。 |
英文摘要 | The purpose of this survey is to find out correlations between the learningattitudes toward English learning for the freshmen of National Changhua Universityof Education (NCUE). The findings of our surevey will be taken into considerationfor an improvement of English teaching method in this institution in future. The samples of our survey include students from Departments of Guidance,Chemistry, Business, and Industrial Education, totaling 133 students in number. Basedon the backgrounds of the students, they are divided into two groups: Group Ainludes those who have passed the' examination administered by this University, whileGroup B consists of those who have passed the nation-wide Unified EntranceExamination. The results of our survey -have been managed through Pearson r, t-testand the others, of which the findings are shown as follows 1.The deviation of attitudes of the samples is significantly different with such stastistics as R=26 X= 34.398, SD= 4.767. 2.Comparing the freshmen's attitudes in Groups A and those in Group B, the results appear a little difference indicated by the statistics: Group A:X=35.036, Group B: X=33.746, The difference only 1.319, df=131, P<.001. 3.The correlation between the samples attitudes and their English scores of the first semester examination of 1991 school year has been shown significantly correlated, which is indicated by the statistics as : r @.397, df=98, P<.001, CL= .397+.165 = .232@ .562. Revealed from the findings of this survey, the students' attitudes towardEnglish learning should be taken into consideration as an obvious reference for somefurther research on the English methodes in this institution with a view tostrengthening the students' English learning oroficienev. |
