結果顯示霰石之同位素組成(δXO = +28.5 to +29.7o/oo, δCC = -5.0 to +2.1o/oo)較方解石者(δXO = +22.2 to +27.0 o/oo, δCC =-43.7 to -4.8 o/oo)為高。 |
| 英文摘要 | Stable isotope analyses were carried out for the aragonite and calcite in carbonate amygdales found in Penghu basalts. The results show that the aragonite (δXO = +28.5 to +29.7o/oo, δCC = -5.0 to +2.1o/oo) is enriched in XO and CC with respect to the calcite (δXO = +22.2 to +27.0 o/oo, δCC = -43.7 to -4.8 o/oo). According to the C-isotope compositions, seawater, meteoric ground-water, and a mixture of seawater and meteoric ground-water are suggested to be the responsible fluids for the precipitation of these carbonates. Based on the O-isotope fractionations, a formation temperature around 20°C is estimated. The origins of aragonite vs. calcite, and carbonate vs. aeolite amygdales are discussed. |
