英文摘要 | The author of this report has compiled a detailed catologue (not yet published) of Tang Dynasty literary sketches, which was composed mainly of informal histories and biographies, stories and Hsiao-shuo 小說. Schools found in the New History of Tang and collated and emended with “Bibliographical Sketches” of History of Sung the Ch’ung-wen General Index 崇文總日, Notes from the Chün Studio 郡齋讀書志, and the Annotated Catologue of the Chih Studio 直齋書祿解題. The resulting catologue provides a very strict definition of the meaning and scope of “literary sketches”. The first mention of the New History of Tang’s citation of literary sketches was in Wu Chen’s 吳縝 book, Hsin Tang Shu Chiu-miao, and there have been many scholars mentioning this fact. This present study not only provides additional introductory and expository materials, it also compares the New History of Tang, the Old History of Tang and literary sketches. If finds out biographies of 100 people in the New History of Tang that were based on literary sketches. Many of the 1iterarysketches and entires of New History of Tang are based on Shih-lu 實錄, and 1ikewise, many Shih-lu are based on literary sketches. The reason for this is that after Enperor Wu-tzung 武宗, the Shih-lu were written by Sung Ming-chiu 宋敏求, of the Sung Dynasty. Since a great portion of Sung Ming-chiu’s Shih-lu were written after the literary sketches, he availed himself to this material. |
