英文摘要 | This study was conducted to investigate the effects of the dietary Mg and Ca content on the effshell quality and mineral content of plasma, eggshell and tibia in Tsaiya ducks and Leghorn hens. The interaction effects between Mg and Ca on the fowls were also studied. The experiment was a 2×2 (2 Mg levels, 250, 2200 ppm; 2 Ca levels, 1.98%, 3.89%) factorial design. The basal diet was mainly composed of corn starch and isolated soy protein. Twenty Tsaiya ducks and twenty Leghorn hens were randomly divided into 4 treatments, respectively and each group was composed of 5 birds which were fed on one of the experimental diets for 28 days. The experiment was repeated twice each at the ages of 53 and 57 weeks in the Tsaiya ducks and 56 and 60 weeks in the Leghorn hens. The eggshell breaking strength and eggshell thickness, the Mg and Ca content of plasma and eggshell were measured. The fat free ash content of tibia and the Mg, Ca and P content of tibia ash were also anlayzed. There was no difference in the eggshell strength and thickness on birds fed two different levels of magnesium in the diet. The eggshell strength and thickness were significantly improved in birds fed on diets containing 3.89% Ca as compaired to those fed on the 1.98% Ca diet. The birds fed high dietary Mg had high Mg concentration in plasma. The dietary Ca level had no effect on the plasma Mg concentration in both fowls. The plasma Ca content was reduced in treatment with the high Mg diet, and was significantly increased in the group fed on the high Ca diet in the Leghorn hens. The Mg content of the eggshell was not different in the ducks fed two different Mg and Ca levels in the diets. But in the Leghorn hens, the eggshell Mg content was increased when the dietary Mg level was high and was decreased as the dietary Ca level was increased. The ducks fed high Mg diet resulted in the reduction of eggshall Ca but did not occur in hens. The eggshell Ca content in hens was increased with the dietary Ca level. The dietary Mg level did not influence the tibia ash content in ducks, but did significantly influence the tibia ash content in hens. The high dietary Ca level had no effect on the tibia ash content in ducks, but significantly increased that in hens. The Mg of tibia ash was increased by the high dietary Mg level in both ducks and hens. But the dietary Ca level had no effect on the Mg content of tibia ash in these laying fowls. Dietary Ca and Mg had no effect on the Ca and P contents of tibia ash in both Tsaiya ducks and Leghorn hens. The result indicated that the Ca and P contents in bone were very stable and were not affected by the dietary Mg and Ca levels. |
