中文摘要 | 豐年蝦的色素濃淡影響牠們被掠食的機會,同時也影響掠食者的成長及存活。由四 種常物源:MC,海洋綠藻Chlorella sp.; BY,麵包酵母; AM,紅藻Dunaliella salina粉及CR, 合成的β-胡蘿蔔素所組的十種餌料被用在此研究。餌料含BY及CR其豐年蝦成長最好,顯 示出CR或胡蘿蔔素可能扮演某種促進豐年蝦成長的角色,胡蘿蔔素可能扮演一生物性的角 色類似α-維生素E因此保護敏感的組織及反應性的化合物不受氧化的傷害。豐年蝦色素濃並 不見得與餌料中胡蘿蔔素含量成比例,即使餌料中含有胡蘿蔔素,豐年蝦的色澤僅在其有良 好的成長時才會有增進的作用。 |
英文摘要 | Artemia's color intensity affects their chance being preyed upon, so does the growth and survival of the predators. Ten diets from four food sources, namely: MC, marine algae; Chlorella sp.; BY, bread yeast; AM, algae, Dunaliella salina meal and CR, synthetic β-carotene were used in the study. Diets containing BY and CR had the best growth of the brine shrimp, which demonstrated the role CR or carotenoids might have in improving the growth of brine shrimp. The color intensities in brine shrimp were not necessarily proportional to the carotenoid content in diet. Even with the inclusion of carotenoids in the diet, the brine shrimp reflected its color effectively when it was in good growth condition. |
