英文摘要 | A feeding trial and a balance test were conducted to determine the effect of adding industrial betamannanase to diets with different fiber contents on the growth performance, carcass quality, nitrogen balance, and nutrient digestibility of finishing pigs. Thirty-two, two-way crossbred (Landrace x Large White) finishing pigs were used in the feeding trial, and eight pigs were used in the balance test. In each case, the pigs were randomly assigned into four dietary groups. The control diet contained 3% crude fiber. The other three groups contained 3, 4, and 5% crude fiber, and all were supplemented with 0.5% commercial grate beta-mannanase. In the feeding trail, at 3% fiber contents, adding beta-mannanase decreased feed intake. With increasing fiber content, the amount of feed intake increased as well. The 3% fiber diet plus beta-mannanase resulted in the best feed efficiency among all the study groups. The 4% fiber diet with beta-mannanase provided the highest average daily gain. The pigs fed 5% fiber plus betamannanase diet had the thinnetst backfat, followed by 4% fiber with beta-mannanase group, the control group, and the 3% fiber plus beta-mannanase group, in that order, There was no other significant difference in carcass quality among all the study groups. Adding industrial beta-mannanase reduced (p<0.05) daily feces excretion, and increased (p<0.05) digestibility of acid detergent fiber, calcium, and gross energy under identical fiber content. Digestibility of crude fiber, neutral detergent fiber, acid detergent fiber, gross energy and calcium decreased significantly as the crude fiber content in the diet increased (p<0.05), with the exception of calcium digestibility between pigs fed 4 and 5% crude fiber. However, there was no significant improvement in digestibility of crude protein, crude fat, and phosphorus among all the groups. |
