中文摘要 | 清代臺灣的開發,商業貿易扮演著重要的角色,由半海盜半貿易的基地,到成為東 南沿海各省區域分工的農業生產部門。蘭陽平原位於臺灣東北部,地理條件上具邊陲性和封 閉性,開發較晚但其生產模式仍和西部平原相似,為一市場取向的商業農業。 商品化農業最重要的就是運輸,沒有運輸則貨品不通,商業不興。蘭陽平原呈三角形二面環 山東面臨海,陸路交通以濁蘭古道為主,但山路崎嶇難行,貨運不便。而以水路交通扮演著 主要的運輸功能。對外港口中烏石港雖然立地條件不如加禮遠港和蘇澳港,但因有人口眾多 的腹地,又位於內河船道的匯流口等優越的區位條件,於道光三年開為正口,而為清領時期 蘭陽平原上最繁榮的港埠。 運輸和商業有著密切的關連。海洋運輸受到港口,船隻、海洋狀況等因素影響,如烏石港為 沙港水淺,冬季有河塞現象,不利船隻進出;當時船隻是以風為動力的帆船,受風力的影響 甚大;我國冬季季風強大於夏季季風,冬半年海洋狀況不利航行。這些海洋運輸的特徵顯示 冬半年不適於貨物的運達,烏石港甚至停頓,夏半年則是商業活動繁榮的季節。 |
英文摘要 | In the Ching Dynasty, Taiwan and the South-east China area had a regional division of labor for farming and handcraft industry. I-lan plain is locate in the north-cast area in Taiwan. It is surrounded by up-rising mountains and pacific ocean. Although It's development was latter than west coast area. It was the same type of development pattern, commercial farming, as the west coast area. Transportation is one of the important factor in commercial farming. I-lan is a close-up plain. Transportation for goods by vehicles were difficlut, most of the goods were transported by vessels. Wu-shih-kang's site was not better than any other ports, but its location and its inland transportation network were far better than others. It become the hottest port in I-lan plain, durning the Ching-ruling period. Ocean transportation is influenced by many factors, such as ports, vesels, and the ocean conditions. Wu-shih-kang was a sand coast port, It was hard for the vessels to enter the port in winter. Besides, the winter monsoon is stronger in winter than in summer. The ocean condition is not suitable for sailing in water. Therefore, most of transportation and trade ocurred in spring and summer. |
