| 英文摘要 | In this paper, we investigate the combined design of a robust controller and an observer for linear uncertain systems. We have developed in [22] a novel method for designing robust linear quadratic (LQ) optimal state feedback to quadratically stabilize a class of linear uncertain systems. Here we study the use of that optimal state feedback in the observer-based controller configuration so that only output feedback is needed. Both full-order and reduced-order observers are considered. For the full-order observer, we propose an algorithm to synthesize the robust observer gain matrix. It is shown that the robust optimal LQ state feedback, together with the observer, can guarantee the quadratic stability of the uncertain system. For the reduced-order observer, some conditions are derived to guarantee the quadratic stabilizability of the uncertain systems. One of the advantages of our approach is that it provides an explicit trade-off between the magnitudes of the controller and observer gains. This explicit trade-off facilitates the design process. Two examples are given to illustrate the usage and efficacy of our methods. |
