| 英文摘要 | In order to understand whether the N��-water gas mixture can be used as a base gas of softnitriding atmospheres, various amounts of NH�� were added to the mixture and specimens of pureiron and steels were heated in the obatined atmospheres. The characteristics of these atmosphere onsoft nitriding were revealed through studying the hardness distribution, nitrogen and carbon distribution, and the microstructure of the hardened layer of above heated specimens. The results are asfollows: The N��-water gas mixture was found to be a satisfactory base gas for soft nitriding as long asthe volume fraction of water gas was more than 10. For pure iron being heated in an N��-watergas-NH�� mixture its thickness of compound layer within the hardened layer increases with increasing the amount of NHa, temperature and/or heating time. The soft nitriding result of steels heated inthe Mi-water gas-NH�� mixture is almost the same as that of steels heated in the mixture of endothermic gas 50 + NH��50), which is a conventional soft nitriding atmosphere. |
