| 中文摘要 | 本試驗係在澳洲雪梨大學CAMDEN農場舉行,位於南緯34度,試驗目的在探討珍珠粟不同種植密度對其分蘖特性之反應,分別在初夏及盛夏種植一次藉以探知植期之影響。種植密度共有四種處理,即行距12.5公分,25公分及75公分,第四種處理是行距75公分而以人工每週除去分蘖只留母莖。 試驗結果顯示,不同種植密度其分蘖的生出數目非常相近,但是從孕穗期至成熟期,具有生育力的分蘖及空中分蘖數目,則隨種植密度增加而減少;在植株孕穗期前20天至穀粒飽滿期,不論乾物重或葉面積,高種植密度(12.5公分行距)與低種植密度(75公分行距)間均有極顯著的差異。然而在植株主莖的總乾物重及鼓粒潛能產量則反是。 雖然珍珠粟植株在去除分蘖後,其單株穗重有極顯著的增加,但是如以整株比較仍然是穀粒潛能產量最少。 |
| 英文摘要 | Agronomic study was made of the development of tillering in pearl millet (Pennisetum americanum (L.) Leekd). Field trial was conductd at Camen, New South wales (34°S). The aim of the experiments was to investigate the characteristics of tillering of the pearl millet crop in response to density at two sowing dates. There were three densities of 12.5 cm, 25cm 75 cm row spacing and a fourth treatment (75 cm row spacing) in which tillers were removed. A series of growth parameters was measured and analyzed at weekly intervals. The number of tillers appearing was quite similar for all densities, but the number of productive and aerial tillers increased from anthesis to maturity as plant density dereased. Both the dry weight and leaf area of tillers were significantly different between the low density (75 cm row spacing) and high density (12.5 cm row spacing) treatments from 20 days before anthesis to the grain filling stage. The percentage of total vegetative dry matter in the main stem and final potential grain yield was higher in high density plots than in low density plots. Although plants with tillers removed had a significantly heavier head weight, on a per plant basis, than plants in which tillers were maintained, they still had a lower potential grain yield. |
