英文摘要 | We performed Southern hybridization analyses of oncogene (c-myc and c-mos) and immunoglobulin gene configurations in 14 Epstein-Barr virus (EBV) converted cellular subclones of a human Burkitt lymphoma cell line (BJAB), and compared them to EBV-negative BJAB subclones. The results revealed that oncogene and immunoglobulin gene fragments were identical in all the BJAB subclones. Also, BJAB appeared to have intact immunoglobulin heavy-chain gene regions and germline c-myc and c-mos arrangements. EBV did not induce, at an appreciable frequency, DNA rearrangements at these gene loci in BJAB cells, Our results are compatible with the notion that the chromosomal translocations observed in Burkitt lymphoma cells are indenpendent of the presence of EBV in the tumor cell lineage. |
